Governance
The Garden Square Trust was established through an Act of Parliament in 1813.
The Act requires every household around the Square to contribute to the upkeep of the Garden by paying an annual charge. This is called the Annual Garden Rate.
The charge is not an access charge. All households, regardless of whether they have a Garden Key, are required to pay the charge for the upkeep of the garden.
Our Trust is managed by a group of neighbours who volunteer their time and effort to look after our lovely Square.
Access
Access is Exclusively for Residents of 1-40 Dorset Square who have paid to maintain the Garden for the last 200 years
Rules
Access is intended on following Rules, set to ensure quiet enjoyment for, and equitability among, all residents
